Seoul Dulle Gil Stage 6: Anyangcheon Stream

Seoul Dulle Gil Stage 6: Anyangcheon Stream

Why Hike This Section

Section 6 of the Seoul Dulle Gil is pancake flat. It’s not much of a “hike”; more of a walk in a park — or, better yet, perhaps completed as a long run or cycling excursion. The entire section takes you along Anyang-cheon (“cheon” means “stream”), which was designated as one of several waterway clean-up projects that began in the early 2000’s. It is a beautiful river side park with continuous cycling and walking paths from its source in Uiwang City (south of Seoul) to its junction with the Han River and Han River Park near the Seongsan Bridge in Seoul. Anyangcheon park is well-maintained, with seasonal wildflowers, cherry trees, tall grasses, and rape fields offering an explosion of color throughout the year.

Level of Difficulty and Type of Terrain

Absolutely the flattest section of the entire Seoul Dulle Gil. The course is primarily pavement and makes an excellent long run. You could also rent a city bike for the day - don’t forget to get your stamps along the way!

Miles and Hours

The total course for Section 6 is a little over 11 miles (18 km) and can be completed in 2 to 4 hours, depending on whether you walk, run or cycle.
